The Inaugural Africa Defence Industries Conference will take place alongside the 60th Anniversary Celebrations of the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) from 14th-15th August 2024, at the Shehu Musa Yar`Adua Centre, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, with the theme: “DICON @60: Future Frontiers in Africa’s Defence Technology”.

The 2-day event was designed to be the largest gathering of defence industry stakeholders in Nigeria and Africa, attracting over 3,000 local and international participants, from over 30 countries. The event focused on defence exhibitions, investment opportunities, industrial partnerships, and future developments in the African Defence Industries.

It featured a distinguished faculty of knowledgeable speakers and resource persons from within and outside Africa, government officials, military personnel, commercial exhibitors, industry leaders, business networking opportunities, and sessions on market trends and commercial strategies in the African defence sector.

It also host a Defence Innovation Challenge targeted at harnessing young startups that can build solutions within the defence industries space
